Review

Luna Lapin and her friends are adorable; there's no denying it!

Sarah Peel has written a comprehensive book full of sewing projects to create your own crew of heirloom animal dolls, complete with beautiful cottage wardrobes.

My particular favorites are Wilhelmina with her ADORABLE pintuck top and Luna's wellies. They look like Hunter or Le Chameau boots (a la Kate Middleton and Princess Di)!

As noted, these sewing projects are not considered toys. Peel has created these characters so that sewing and doll lovers alike can create their own world of kawaii animals that will be cherished for many years.

If you would like to create more cute looks for your characters to wear, you may refer to Peel's first Luna Lapin book, MAKING LUNA LAPIN.

The clothing projects for Luna and her friends are full of inspiration to create my own wardrobe - now I'm thinking I need to sew up some cute linen/cotton tops and jackets to create my own coordinating capsule collection.

The possibilities are endless. I also imagine many grandmothers and mothers teaching their children the art of sewing through these miniature patterns.
