🍊🍋 summer finds 🍋🍊

It’s a rainy Thursday morning in Ohio. I just put my toddler down for a nap, baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies, and finally took a shower.

Since we’ve been under stay-at-home orders for a few months now, I’ve been learning about how to take care of myself in new ways.

Our routine is entirely different than it was six months ago. New products have found their way into my rotation. My mom-bod is forever changing. The type of books I’m interested in has shifted.

So, I’m here to show you some summer themed items that I’m currently spending a lot of time with.

1) Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

I found this second-hand copy in a Little Free Library near me. I had read so many reviews praising the novel & heard from friends who enjoyed so I’m giving it a shot!

2) Mary Kay subtle tanning lotion

This self-tanner is a great option for those wanting a natural-looking bronze color without the damaging effects of UV rays. I started using it last week and I’m very happy with the results. Now that I’ve applied it daily for about 7 days I’ll switch to only using it once every three days.

3) SensatioNail gold chrome gel polish

I’ve loved doing my own gel nails at home and thought this chrome would be so fun! I haven’t tried it yet, but I can vouch for other SensatioNail colors. They’ve been great and I can’t wait to try this one.

4) Ole Henriksen Banana Bright vitamin c serum

I received this as a gift in exchange for my honest review. The application of this serum is smooth, it smells like citrus (so good), and a little bit really goes a long way. I find the name misleading as there isn’t anything banana about the product. The packaging is cute. I will continue to use this bottle up to see if I notice any results but so far it’s just been fun to add into my skincare routine. It claims to help brighten your skin.

5) Marc Anthony perfect curl 7-in-1 leave-in treatment foam

I'm always looking for hair products to moisturize my waves without giving me a crunch or frizz. I started using this leave-in foam two weeks ago after each shower and I’m really liking it. It’s a very thick foam unlike most mousse products. My waves and (few) curls love the texture and air dry wonderfully. I wouldn’t consider this a detangling treatment as the bottle says, but all other claims have held up for me.

Let me know if you’d like to see more product roundups. What beauty products are you using during the coronavirus pandemic?
